Crowns

Crowns can be made of various materials, white or metal, depending on the situation and requirements. A crown is a laboratory constructed item made specifically per tooth and are usually placed for functional purposes if there are teeth considered to be at risk of fracturing (in particular following a root canal treatment). Crowns can be constructed from a range of materials to suits your preferences and budget. The making of a crown required two appointments, one to prepare the tooth and take impressions for the laboratory to construct the crown, and a follow up appointment where the crown will be fitted.

Crowns can last for many years, but still, need the same good care and cleaning as an uncrowned tooth.
