Dentures
Dentures are made to replace missing teeth; they can be made as a ‘partial’ which would be to fill gaps around the mouth or a ‘full’ which would be to replace a full arch.
There are many options for dentures; acrylic, chrome or flexi are offered. Your dentist will show you some examples and explain the costing and process.
Dentures usually take a minimum of 4 appointments and are constructed in a laboratory. We can ask our trusted laboratory to make any required changes during the stages, such as tooth colour, shape or size. We can also add clasps for stability.
For urgent cases, we can provide an Immediate Denture. We ask the laboratory to construct a denture without specific measuring stages, therefore this can be fitted usually within one week. Immediate Dentures are only used for healing after extractions, or following trauma and once the mouth has healed it is advised to then have a new denture made with all the measuring stages included to ensure a better fit.
